Storytelling, Art and Personal Attention
The wedding photography I offer is unique; it spares moments from fleeting events, the first glance of a groom seeing a bride, a bride and her father taking deep breaths just before walking down the isle. I strive to thoughtfully and artfully capture each detail that shapes the mood of each wedding I cover.
Michael's aproach to his work is drawn from a natural curiosity about his surroundings, and is informed by his years of studying cultural anthropology. In graduate school, Michael considered images to be priceless tools to understanding the signficance of culture and how its communicated; he used a camera intensively while obtaining his masters degree.
He honed his photographic skills at Massachusetts College of Art, Working with Artists - Denver's School of Fine Art Photography, and The Maine Photography Workshops. Before opening his studio in the Boston area in 2008 he was a lead photographer for an award winning event photography company.
Michael grew up in Northern Virginia, and after college he lived in Colorado for several years. He's been a professional disc golfer and director of product management in the financial services industry, but all along the way has woven photography into his life. In 2006 he moved to Boston and took the plunge, starting a studio focused on wedding photography and portraiture. He lives in Cambridge.
